Vyrd

Vyrd is a fun dice duel game inspired by the Norse dice-battle mini-games from a popular Viking video game. You play as a warrior who rolls six runic dice to fight with axes, arrows, and shields. Call on powerful Norse gods — like Idunn's healing apples, Heimdal's shield, or Loki's tricks — to help you win the fight.

The game has nice music, hand-made Viking art, and exciting dice battles that feel like an old tabletop game by the fire. Play against the computer or challenge a friend. Roll dice, collect favor, deal damage, and call on the gods until only one warrior is left standing.

General Rules

1. Vyrd is played in a few phases each round: Toss , Favor and Clash.

2. Both players roll 6 dice during the Toss phase, aiming for axes, arrows, helmets, shields, and hands. Reroll up to twice. Dice with a gold border earn favors when rolled. 

3. Tokens are spent during the Favor phase to call ona god's blessing - 3 levels each, higher levels cost more. Every god grants a different power, so choose the one that fits your strategy and your opponent's.

4. Dice face off during the Clash phase: axes beat helmets, arrows beat shields, and hands steal favors. All dice clashes unfold one after the other.

5. Different gods act at different points during this phase, so timing matters as much as the blessing itself.

6. Fight continues round after round until someone loses all their life.
